[It's rather easy to predict where Even will go after work; generally, straight home. Which means that Ansem doesn't have to figure in time trying to find the man, and instead, can clean himself up, make himself presentable, and be waiting by the time Even's approaching the door.]
[The main question of it is whether or not he'll stay on campus ridiculously late, but his students and coworkers both have been working to make sure he goes home at a reasonable time, instead of continuing to set a bad example for his son. So Ansem isn't waiting too long before Even turns up, offering a polite wave and a smile on seeing who's waiting for him.]
Oh, the usual. I believe I managed to put the fear of midterms into some of the less motivated students, finally.
Perhaps they'll even study for it. [Ansem's offering a warm smile of his own] Though it seems there's always one in every class who thinks they can get by without paying attention...but you'd know that better than I.
There is indeed. Sometimes they actually do already know the material, but more often than not, they are simply either arrogant or too easily distracted. Nevertheless, it is not my job to identify the motivations behind my students' behavior. I am not a telepath, after all.
Perhaps I should have kept my actual power secret, so that I could lead them to think I could read their minds.
[Is he joking or serious? Hard to tell, though he does sound amused.]
And seeing as some of my coworkers have taken exception to my extended work days, yes, I had planned to spend the evening with a nice book of some sort.
Hmm...I think I could tolerate a change. And I'm certain you could benefit from the variety...shall I see if Ienzo has plans, or would you prefer this to be a graduates only excursion?
[And indeed he's not, though he does take slightly longer than he should need to just for putting his stuff away. The reason for the delay is fairly obvious when he returns, as his hair is freshly brushed and pulled back. He's even left his labcoat behind, though he's still dressed perhaps a tad more professionally than a cafe really calls for.]
